She is the founder and principal of Calypso Botanical Consulting, and through the years gained extensive field and plant taxonomy experience with the vegetation of California and Oregon through the award and subsequent management of multiple federal and local government projects. These include special status and complete floristic surveys, including non-vascular species, on thousands of acres of federal and private lands in California, Oregon and Utah.

Cecile is also a skilled resource manager with program management, GIS, grant writing, field crew supervision, and NEPA experience.
