February 11 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

collette-at-bohemiaGet ready for the wildflowers of spring! Have you always wanted to know your local wildflowers but did not know where to start? Students will learn the basics needed to identify wild plants including flower anatomy and how to use a botanical key. Students will be introduced to the floral patterns of major plant families. Please bring any local plant ID guides you might have, lunch, and a magnifying glass or loupe if you have one. This class will mostly be indoors but if the weather is good we will take a walk outside for about an hour. Participants only need an interest in learning to identify plants around them. Please register online at ashland.or.us/register or call the Nature Center at 541-488-6606.
