Acorn Food Workshop – Gifts from the Mighty Oak

The Berkeley Library is Going Nuts! Join a FREE culinary adventure into world of oaks and acorn food and eat your way into the oak web of life. A presentation on oak ecology and ethnobotany will be followed by a hands-on playshop to handcraft acorn flour and taste yummy acorn cakes. Learn howto identify local oaks and how oaks are woven into world mythologies and cultures. Taught by ethnobotanist and forester, Jolie Elan. No need to pre-register, just come to the Library. You might want to get there a bit early as there are a limited number of seats.
