Deep Ecology on the Top of Mount Tamalpais
June 11, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
This fun and easy-paced field class will circle the top of Mount Tamalpais and give students a fabulous overview of the diversity of life and ecosystems in the Bay Area. We will learn basic ecological processes and cycles, dig into Bay Area geology and soils, spark our interest in the role of fire in our ecosystems, dive into watershed science, and learn the elements that contribute to Bay Area weather and climate. We will continue to deepen our understanding of how we humans are intricately woven in this breathtaking web of life that is woven with sweetness made from sunshine via the process of photosynthesis.
This class is part of our 6 month Wild Woman Series and cannot be taken separately
