Direct to the Source Plant Spirit Journey – Stinging Nettle
November 18, 2015 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
How did the ancients learn about the healing properties of plants? Many say that the plants told them. What if this is true? Do you want to find out for yourself and build your capacity to source directly from nature through meditation?
This experiential class explores how to connect directly with a plant and its inherent wisdom in a deep and ancient way through meditation. Each class in this series will focus on wonderful plant, its ethnobotany, mythology, and plant spirit medicine. Classes begin with an ethnobotanical introduction and move into a group plant spirit meditation. After the meditation, there will be an opportunity to share our insights and knowledge. This is a direct way to tap into Earth wisdom.
This series will explore Tulsi (November 4), Kava (November 11) and Nettle (November 18th). Each class can be taken individually. All classes held in the beautiful Wu Wei Tea Temple on Wednesday nights from 6-8 PM. There is no more perfect setting for a plant spirit journey than a tea temple – come join us. Please bring a journal.
Stinging Nettle – One of our most abundant native medicines and a wildly nutritious local food. Anyone who has been stung by this nettlesome plant knows the power in its punch. Come join us and learn about the medicine, food and spirit of this stinging plant.
