Wild Foods and Medicine of Deer Park
April 4, 2015 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Wild foods and medicines abound in Marin. Join Ethnobotanist Jolie Egert Elan for this fun-filled educational walk and connect deeper to nature. We’ll discuss how to identify common plants and use them for food and medicine. Learn how to distinguish useful plants from their poisonous cousins. Come immerse yourself in the myths, medicine and magic of the wild plants of Marin. The walk will be friendly and slow paced. Meet at Deer Park Parking lot at 10 AM. Bring a lunch, water and comfortable walking shoes. You might also want to bring a notebook, a magnifying glass (or loupe) and camera.
